Omnikin Two-Ball Balance With Kick

-Objective:

To determine how many sequences of three-second balances with a kick can be made.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Retain

  • Kick

-Equipment List:

  • Two Omnikin balls per player (or other balls will do)

-Equipment Link:

-Setting Up:

  • Each player is located in a scattered position in playing area

  • Each player is given two Omnikin balls

-Instructions:

  • On the leader's signal to begin the players attempt to determine how many consecutive ball balances with a kick they can complete.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Questions for Understanding:

  • Try with both feet. Is one easier than the other? Why? How can you improve the weaker foot?

  • Try it with smaller balls. How does the size of ball influence success? Why?
