-Setting Up:
Identify players into two teams.
Give one of the players a ball.
Players are in a scattered position in the playing area.
-Instructions:
Players with the ball can only pivot and have three seconds to pass the ball.
Players attempt to pass the ball to teammates as many consecutive times as possible--it is helpful for teams to count out loud the number of passes.
Defense cannot attempt to knock the ball away from the player holding the ball.
Any ball that hits the ground or is intercepted starts the other team with their first pass.
-Questions & Notes:
Questions for Understanding:
What can players on the offensive team do to increase their success?
How can offensive players without the ball create open spaces for them to receive the ball?
What can players on the defensive team do to increase their success?
Variation:
Intercept Continues the Count: If a ball is intercepted by the opposition the intercepting team continues counting where the other team left off.
Bounce Pass: All passes must bounce once between players. Two+ bounces and the ball goes to the other team.
