Ball Slam

-Objective:

Heading 1

Players complete a set number of bounces or try to attain the most bounces in a set time.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Send

  • Throw

  • Non-locomotor

  • Balance

  • Jump

-Equipment List:

  • One Bosu ball

  • One High-bounce Medicine Ball (could also use a basketball, volleyball...)

-Setting Up:

  • A player stands on a Bosu ball holding a high-bounce medicine ball (could also use a basketball…).

-Instructions:

  • A player jumps up on the Bosu ball holding the high-bounce ball in front of face.

  • On the way down to the Bosu ball the player slams the high-bounce ball onto the floor and lands with both feet balanced on the Bosu ball.

  • Once the high-bounce ball rebounds back to the hands of the player the exercise is repeated.
