Keep Ball Up with Rebounders

-Objective:

To count how many times a ball can be rebounded of balls held by players.

Heading 1

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Retain

  • Bounce

-Equipment List:

  • One small Fit ball per player

  • One larger Fit ball per team

-Equipment Link:

-Setting Up:

  • Teams of 5-8 players stand in a circle or scattered position in a pool, each player holds a ball.

  • One player holds a larger Fit ball.

-Instructions:

  • When the team is ready the player with the larger Fit ball tosses it to a teammate.

  • Teams then try to rebound the larger ball with the smaller balls and try to count as many consecutive hits as they can. 

  • If the ball hits the water, the teams try again to improve their score.

  • What makes the way the smaller ball is held and used the most effective?
