Balance Tag

-Objective:

For the IT to tag another player without anyone losing their bean-bag.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

    • Balance 

    • Run

-Equipment List:

  • One beanbag per player

  • One pool noodle per every 10 players (the ITs)

-Setting Up:

  • Players are placed within a designated area, each with a bean-bag on their head.

  • The ITs are given a pool-noodle.

-Instructions:

  • At a signal to start the IT tries to tag another player on their torso with the pool-noodle.

  • If anyone’s bean bag falls off they automatically become the IT.

  • If someone is tagged with the pool-noodle they become the next IT.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Instructional tips:

    • Adding more ITs make for a more active game.

  • Variations:

    • Dribble Balance Tag: The same as Balance Tag but players must also dribble a basketball or soccer ball.

    • Balance Any Tag: Use Balance Tag for any Tag game.
