-Setting Up:

  • Place the nine poly spots in a 3 by 3 grid (one to three to four paces apart) with the far (from the basket) two spots at the three point line and the bottom two spots near the baseline--adjust for skill level.

  • Each player has a ball and is standing at the elbow of the key at the foul line.

  • Each player has a pile of their four poly spots at the elbow of the key on the baseline.

-Instructions:

  • Players begin at centre court with a basketball in hand and dribble to one of the poly spots on the floor and attempt a shot

  • If the shot is unsuccessful that player retrieves their ball and attempts to shot a basket from any of the nine poly spots not occupied by an overlapping poly spot.

  • When the basket is successful that player picks up one of their four poly spots and places it one one of the nine poly spots--no one can shot from this spot anymore.

  • Players continue adding their four poly spots until one of the players gets three in a row.

  • If no player has three in a row when all four poly spots have been placed, the next time that player can move one of his poly spots to the open space in an attempt to get three in a row.

  • Once one player has three in a row, that player is the winner.

  • Play again
