Regular rules are used.

When a player losses a rally she goes to the back of the line of players waiting to get on, while the first player in line enters the court and prepares to receive service.

Make sure line of players on the side is far enough away from the court that players on the court do not hit those players with a racquet or run into them.

Variations:

Double Upset: Play as in Upset but using doubles rules with 2 players leaving and entering the court after each rally.

Team Upset: Play as in Upset but each side has their own line of replacement players. Keep score as in regular badminton. If a player scores 4 points in a row this player is changes places with a replacement player.
