-Setting Up:

  • Place the ball in the middle of the playing area.

  • Tape parallel scoring lines approximately three to five paces from either side of the ball.

  • Place parallel restraining lines approximately two to three paces beyond the scoring lines.

  • Divide the players into two teams and have each team go behind its restraining line.

  • Give each team half of the balls

-Instructions:

  • On your signal to begin, players begin throwing balls at the stability ball in an effort to get the ball to move past their opponents’ scoring lines.

  • Players may retrieve balls in front of the restraining line,  but can only throw at the stability ball from behind the restraining line.

  • Players may not block the opposing team from hitting the ball, nor may they contact the stability ball in front of the restraining line.

  • A point is scored when the stability ball rolls past a scoring line. At that point, return the ball to the center and instruct players to resume play. At the end of a specified time, the team with the most points wins.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Tips and Variations

    • If you have a large group, use extra stability balls and foam balls.

    • Instead of using tennis balls, use other stability balls to move the one from the center, and place a BallastTM Ball in the middle.
