For groups to maintain a circle as they move around the wall of a room.

Stand students in a large circle facing the middle and holding hands with the player beside them, to be a wheel.

One player should have their back against a wall.

The last player has her back to the wall then moves away from the wall as the circle/wheel turns.

The objective for the group is to successfully roll around the entire room one time.
-Instructions:

Starting against the wall, the wheel rolls around the gym.
-
The challenge is to see if the group can maintain a circle and always have one point of contact against a wall as they turn around the walls of the entire gym.

Remind students that this is not a race. Roll the wheel slowly or player may trip and fall.

Teaching Tips

Emphasize going slowly and maintaining the round shape of a wheel.
-
To make things more interesting, have several wheels going in different directions so that they need to roll around the different wheels as well.

You could have some fun with this game by going around the outside of a small building and treating the flower beds as walls, the circle rotating against the edge of the flower beds so that plants are not destroyed.
