Loppy Ladder

-Objective:

For teams of three to four attempt to move a player quickly down the floor by creating a ladder of floppy pool noodles.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

  • Walk

-Equipment List:

  • Three half-length pool nooldes per groups of four players.

-Setting Up:

  • Establish a start and end line (could be the same line so that players go to one end of the playing area and then back).

  • Players stand behind the start line.

  • Three players hold a half-length pool noodle.

-Instructions:

  • On the signal to begin the players holding the pool noodles lay them on the floor in a ladder position and the one "walking" player stands on the first noodle with one foot, then the next noodle with the other foot...

  • Once the "walking" player has stepped off a noodle that player holding that noodle moves it to the front of the ladder to provide another rung for the "walking" player to step on to.

  • Determine which group can do this the fastest?
