Knee Tap

-Objective:

Heading 1

For pairs of players to compete against each other and try to tap the opponents knees more often than having their own knees tapped.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor 

  • Dodge

  • Manipulative Send

  • Strike

-Equipment List:

One half-noodle (full-length noodles cut in half length) per player.

-Setting Up:

  • Each player gets a partner and they stand facing each other.

  • Each player gets a pool noodle.

-Instructions:

  • Each player stands facing each other, and each holds a pool noodle.

  • Each player then tries to tap the knee of the other player with their pool noodle. Each successful tap is worth one point.

  • Play till one person gets five taps and is the winner.

  • Play again or select different opponents.

  • What is the best tactic to defend yourself from getting tapped?

  • What is the best tactic to tap your opponent?

  • Is it better to go on the offensive, defensive, or some kind of combination of the two?

  • What might the above say about leadership?
